New Horizons reached as Long Engineering wins Swaziland VCR contract!

In something of a leap, Long Engineering has been awarded the structural steelwork element of the new Sikhuphe Airport, in Swaziland, South Africa.

Most of the company’s contracts in recent years, have tended to be within a 50 mile radius of Bristol.

However, the company has gained its second VCR steelwork contract in 3 months after recently fabricating and installing a similar project in Jersey.

Resting some 47 metres above the ground the 8 tonne structure will provide airport controllers with an excellent field of view at the brand new Sikhuphe Airport, which is due to open in early 2010.

M.D. Lance Harris said ” It is very beneficial for the company to have diversified into alternative market sectors while general construction as contracted, of late. We hope to win further contracts in the near future”.
